Hi everyone, it’s Drew posting here today. Tomorrow is my 13th birthday and this is my Bar Mitzvah year. Many of you know how much I love dogs, and for my Mitzvah project I’m raising funds for the Walled Lake Walled Lake Consolidated School District pet therapy program. Currently, they have 7 dogs placed in schools and the goal is to have one in each school for a total of 20. I was lucky enough to meet one of the dogs, Champ, who brings so much love, support and smiles to the students and staff at Guest elementary. It costs $9,000 to train a dog for this program and my goal is to raise $1,000. I’d like to offer to walk your dog for a $5 donation to the program. I have references and have already raised $100 by pet sitting my friend Herschel Carrie Benigsohn Krauthamer. If you’re dog is like my dog, Buster and doesn’t care to go for walks, I’m happy to come over to give him/her a belly rub and play for a bit. I know how much having my dog means to me and I appreciate any support offered to increase the presence of Therapy dogs in our schools.
